This
is 'Shea's first introduction to the trade since
her debut at the Kish convention in May 2009.
'Floral Revelry' Shea is dressed for something
special…..a wedding perhaps? Her two piece ensemble
includes a sleeveless dropped waist dress with
two tiers of ruffles; one floral print and one
striped, with a strawberry red wool felt jacket
trimmed in grey and embellished with felt flowers
and tiny beads. Her wide brimmed hat complements
the ensemble, made of grey and red wool felt and
finished with a large felt flower. On her feet
are black boots, laced up with burgundy ribbons.
Shea's wig is pale blonde mohair in a classic
bob style.

This
is a very special design. It was adapted from
an original that won both 1st place in it's division
( Make a Design with Paper) and the Popular Choice
at the Kish collector's convention in May 2009.
* 'Take Note' Song epitomizes music in her empire
style frock with a full skirt and generous puff
sleeves. Notes dance across her dress in black
on ivory cotton, while a red dotted petticoat
peeks out from under. She wears red striped tights
and simple black pumps. Song wears her long black
hair simply, in braids, tied up in red ribbons.
And in her hands, she cradles her silver flute.
*The original design, created by Tim Purk, was
made of Tyvek - a paper made for the construction
industry. Tim has graciously allowed Kish & Company
to reproduce this adaptation of his design. In
return, Kish & Company will donate a portion of
the sales to 'Marshall's Miles', a foundation
which assists families of children born with SMA.

'Waterfall
Fantasy' Wren is perfectly at ease in her satin
& silk confection. The bodice is ivory taffeta,
embellished with ivory & turquoise illusion, lace,
silk ribbons and pearls, flowing down into one
of the cascade of ruffles that punctuate the silk
over cotton, eight panelled skirt gliding over
a turquoise illusion ruffle. Underneath she wears
lace panties, flesh colored tights and ankle strap
ivory heels. Her goldern blonde hair is caught

this year as a young student of T'ai Chi Chih,
Piper is learning the right moves, but is already
ahead of the fashion. She wears a short cotton
jacket in a serene medley of browns & taupe with
black detailing on the pocket, the bodice and
all around the sleeves & hemline. Half frog closures
and black buttons close the jacket over a lovely,
long white shirt with a square neck and specialty
cotton embroidered skirt and sleeve embellishments.
The print cotton pants are banded in fabric matching
the jacket and she sports hand painted hi top
tennis shoes over white socks for balance. Piper's
blue green eyes and dusting of freckles are complemented
by her red hair, which she wears in braided rolls
at each side of her crown, decorated with richly
colored hair pins.

our newest ball-jointed doll, Bethany 2010. 'Azure
Cascade' Bethany stands 12" tall, with 13 points
of articulation. Her head is vinyl, with handpainted
blue eyes and a golden blonde mohair wig sweeping
her shoulders. Her new head sculpt is updated
and, we think, a little more mature version of
our original Bethany. She is wearing a lace over
turquoise pinafore with lace shoulder frills and
gathered lace at the hem, which slopes upward
at the back to reveal three layers of turqoise
illusion ruffles. Ivory ribbon circles her waistline
with an embroidered rose at the center front and
a little bow at the back. Lace panties, white
tights and ivory Mary Jane shoes complete the
picture.

Moves' Bethany 2010. She wants to keep pace with
big sister 'Piper' in every way. This blue eyed
Bethany has a dark brown bob with ribbons on each
side. She wears cropped pants and hi top tennies
that match 'Peaceful Warrior' Pipers to a tee,
but the resemblance stops there. 'Right Moves'
Bethany wears a simple tee shirt under her long
white hoodie with extra gathers and topstiching
in brown. Note also, the extra detailing in her
hoodie sleeves.

new Kish & Company doll from the Chrystalis
Line. Tea at the Palace Piper is a prim and proper
little lady in her drop waisted silk duponi dress.
Her pleated short skirt is topped off with a leaf-shaped
belt of embroidered wool felt. She stands 14 inches
tall and is made from hard plastic and vinyl.
She has a synthetic wig and features 13 joints.
She is part of a two piece Limited Edition and
will be available exclusively at 15 shops (including

Mei is a new head sculpt from Helen for 2009.
Originally conceived as the perfect little companion
for 'Song' (Kish & Company's newest 14" head sculpt),
we decided to pair her with 'Harvest Moon' Wren
instead. This little Asian girl is 8" tall and
has just outgrown her bent limb baby legs to toddle
forward on her little Mary Jane clad feet. She
wears a high waisted , blue cotton challis jumpsuit
with puffed sleeves under her burgundy wool felt
top with embroidered flowers and detailing. Her
black mohair wig is the perfect topping embellished
with a silky ribbon to one side. And yes, there
is still a little diaper underneath the blue suit,
just in case. Doesn't she just speak to you? (pick

Raven
makes her appearance in 2009 as a thoroughly modern
tween, dressed in a perky cotton top with a ruched,
red dot bodice, ivory colored cap sleeves, and
a red & ivory flower print midriff, with a surprise
touch of turquoise piping top and bottom, before
finishing in a shaped ruffle of red dots. A little
too short to pass muster with Daddy as a dress,
Raven wears her top over turquoise and gray striped
capris of cotton knit. The turquoise is picked
up again in the laces of her black hi-top canvas
shoes, decorated with little hearts and a touch
of bling. Her dark brown eyes are framed by her

surprises us with her honey colored eyes wide
open in wonder as she stands in the Butterfly
Pavilion with a Monarch perched on her hand. She
is dressed for the warmth of the day in a sleeveless,
three tiered cotton print top in dreamy hues of
blue, green and turquoise, with lavender butterflies,
trimmed in a coordinating cotton plaid and finished
with four ivory buttons down the front. Her capris
are a shade of blue picked from her top and even
her shoes echo the colors in her summer frock.

Song
is the newest addition to our line of 14" girls.
The most fashion forward of our girls this year,
Urban Song wears a tie dyed orangey-red velvet
top with unusual detailing at the sleeves and
low hemline. Not exactly ruffles, not exactly
shredded, but what we will call geometric frills.
Her short bubble skirt by contrast, is sedate
in color and texture (gray), while saucy in silhouette.
Black & white thigh high stockings in a dizzying
op-art pattern match her boy cut panties. Finishing
touches are the black lace-up boots and little
black felt shoulder bag with an embroidered flower
detailing. Song's painted eyes are soft brown
and her short mohair wig is black.

Our
2009 version of Wren can't help it if her fashion
sense turns Euro-centric from time to time. She
is, after all, a child of the 21st century and
as such, a citizen of the world. Perhaps even
of worlds past, as seen in this reference to the
folk costuming of Eastern Europe made chic. Although
it looks like 'Harvest Moon' Wren is wearing many
layers, her dress is actually one piece; with
a plum colored cotton 'peasant' style bodice,
an apron of mustard wool felt, colorfully embroidered
with abstract flowers over a double ruffle of
a companionable cotton print and plum cotton.
Long sleeves made of green illusion balance the
mid-calf length of the frock. Over her long dark
brown mohair waves, Wren wears a delicately crocheted
plum and green cap embellished with wool felt
flowers. To finish the look, Wren's feet are gracefully
shod in purple leather boots… perfect for stomping
grapes or dancing the Csardas!
